Digital screens are everywhere and they can simulate a lot of things, but they can never replace real lived experiences. Live performances, for instance, are still fully alive and dominating Philippine entertainment. Stepping into 2025, it seems reasonable to assume that the charm of live performances will continue to capture hearts.

Those entrenched with the arts know exactly how crucial performance art is in life. It is a mirror to society, exploring human experience and a vehicle of human expression. And people value the art of performance in a very special way—be it music, dance, theater, or visual art. Live performances, in a way, move beyond entertainment; it is a celebration of artistic movement and creativity.

Globally, Filipinos are renowned as avid music lovers. Their deep-rooted love for music and the arts makes them an exceptional crowd, making them legendary for their passion and energy at live performances. Their unparalleled enthusiasm and strong fanbase have made local and global artists come back for more.

So get ready for 2025, because it is going to be another epic year for live music. From different local and global artists, loads of live performances in the Philippines are lined up coming your way in the first quarter alone.

January

Starting the year with a blast, live acts from artists performing for the first time in the Philippines. Grammy-winning singer St. Vincent will be performing in her ‘All Born Screaming’ tour, bringing her version of live rock music for the first time in the Philippines on January 8 at The Filinvest Tent, Muntinlupa City. Afterward, Aurora, the Norwegian pop-folk singer, will also be performing for the first time with her ‘What Happened to the Earth? Part 4’ tour, on January 31 at SM Mall of Asia Arena.

In the indie scene, Cigarettes After Sex will be making their comeback to the Philippines after nearly six years. The concert is part of their ‘X’s World Tour’, happening on January 14, back to back with a concert by Grammy-winning band Maroon 5 on their Asia Tour 2025, with both shows at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.

Korean pop (K-pop) music is still soaring. K-pop icons Seventeen bring their ‘Seventeen Right Here’ world tour to their Filipino fans. Get ready to sing and dance with the boy group as they perform at the Philippine Sports Stadium on January 18 and 19.

February

In February, several local artists will take the live stage in the metro. TJ Monterde will be performing for three nights on his ‘Sarili Nating Mundo’ tour on Feb. 1-3. Following that, pop / alternative band Cup of Joe will rock the stage on their second major concert ‘SILAKBO,’ happening on Feb 8-9. You can catch both shows at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City.

Adding to the musical excitement are live performances from international artists, including Niki’s ‘BUZZ World Tour’ at SM Mall of Asia Arena and The Script’s ‘Satellites’ tour at Smart Araneta Coliseum —both happening on Feb. 11-12. Afterwards, The Corrs is making a comeback for a dose of Irish charm with their ‘From Manila with Love’ tour on Feb. 15-16 at Araneta Coliseum, followed by Jinjer’s Asian Tour 2025 on February 18 at the SM North Skydome.

Rounding out this exciting month, the Philippines also welcomes Korean pop-rock band Day6 as they serenade Filipinos with enchanting love and heartbreak songs on February 22 at the Araneta Coliseum. Following close behind, a live performance brought by South Korean indie rock band Wave to Earth on February 28 at SM Mall of Asia Arena.

March

March is kicking off excitement as the widely popular K-pop group ENHYPEN will bring their ‘WALK IN THE LINE’ World Tour to the Philippine Sports Stadium on March 1st. The group is known for their dynamic and captivating performances, surely making every fan cheer their hearts out. Next is indie-pop artist Keshi bringing his soulful vocals live in the Philippines. His ‘Requiem’ World Tour is set to take place on March 4, followed by Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue performing her ‘Tension Tour 2025’ on March 7, with both shows happening at SM Mall of Asia Arena.
