Metrobank’s fund management expertise earns accolades from CFA Society Philippines
Our fund managers have proven that providing the best financial solutions for its Philippine clients requires consistency and dedication.
Metrobank was honored as one of the top fund managers in the Philippines by the CFA Society Philippines at their 9th annual Best Managed Funds of the Year Awards for 2024.
The program aimed to identify and celebrate the best fund managers in the Philippines by recognizing professionally managed funds with the highest risk-adjusted returns compared to their peers, highlighting the benefits of investing in UITFs.
Metrobank’s Trust Banking Group was recognized for its high-performing UITFs, receiving two commendations in the categories for the best Peso and Dollar Intermediate-Term Bond Funds, which are funds that use fair value profit and loss valuation with a fund duration of up to three years.
“Despite having a new and lean UITF team, the funds that we managed achieved recognition from the CFA Philippines as one of the Best Managed Funds for 2024. This recognition is a testament to our team’s dedication, innovative approach, and unwavering commitment to achieve consistent returns for our investors,” said Angelica Reyes, Metrobank’s Trust Banking Group Head.
“We are humbled by this recognition, and we would like to thank CFA Philippines for recognizing our work. This motivates us to continue striving for excellence in our investment processes and portfolio performance,” added Ma. Cristina Gabaldon, Metrobank’s Deputy Head for the Investment Management Division.
At the CFA Society Philippines’ 9th annual Best Managed Funds of the Year Awards, held at The City Club Alphaland, 13 top fund managers in the Philippines were recognized for their outstanding performance. Metrobank was among the winners, with several of its funds receiving awards. A total of 136 qualified funds from 17 investment houses and trust institutions participated in the awards.
