The Philippines’ overall agricultural output grew at an annual pace of 0.6% by value in October-December, after four consecutive quarters of contraction, as gains in crops, poultry and fisheries offset losses in livestock due to an African swine fever outbreaks, data on Wednesday showed
Crops output, which accounted for about 60% of the overall agricultural production in the fourth quarter, rose 2.6% as paddy rice harvest increased 0.2%
Livestock production shrank 9.7%, but fisheries output grew 1.4% and poultry rose 2.7%
The government will release overall economic output for the same period on Thursday
