Metrobank’s chief markets strategist says 2024 will be a year of opportunities
Ruben Zamora, Metrobank’s Chief Markets Strategist, shares his views on the markets in separate interviews on CNN and ANC.
There are opportunities in fixed income and equities in 2024 for those who can wait, according to Ruben Zamora, Chief Markets Strategist and head of Metrobank’s Institutional Investors Coverage Division.
“We kind of favor bonds still going into the beginning part of (this) year. But we’d also be quite favorable in accumulating some positions in equities, patiently over the whole year. Not all in one go,” said Zamora in ANC’s “On The Money” in response to a question by host Salve Duplito.
CNN’s Rico Hizon also asked Zamora where investors can put their money.
“Apart from simple time deposits of banks or fixed income instruments like government bonds, investors, if they want to dabble into the stock market, should start by looking at the blue chip stocks, which include the large conglomerates, some of which offer good dividends,” Zamora told Hizon.
